DREW KERR
COMMUNICATIONS TRAINING FOR LEADERS

"Drew brings what I believe is the most important trait in a communications professional: judgment. Regardless of the circumstances, crisis or a more mundane moment, he has brought a thoughtful, intelligent and creative approach."

MEET DREW KERR
As a leadership communications trainer, my clients see me as a trusted and plainspoken adviser when they want to say and do the right things. Within the industry, I've taken many communications roles over the years including teacher, organizer, speaker, and relationship creator.
After several years at CBS and Radio City Music Hall Productions, I opened up my own communications consultancy in 1990 to help founders and executives shape their visions -- sometimes from scratch.
I am often interviewed by journalists about communications crises and changes, and write commentaries about communications strategies and best practices for Fast Company, Ad Age, Dow Jones Marketwatch, and Mediapost.
In October 2018, I combined my passions for public speaking and storytelling when I appeared in front of a live audience at The Moth.
I spent many years delivering workshops to and mentoring first-generation American students at LaGuardia Community College's President's Society in Long Island City, NY.
As an established communications professional, nothing makes me happier than collaborating with great clients to bring clarity, confidence, and change into both their professional and personal lives.
I strongly believe that preventing wars is cheaper than fighting them. One important part of leadership communications is objectively counseling executives to avoid unforced errors that may damage the reputations of both them and the companies they lead. I maintain The Red List, a database of real publicity crises that could have been easily averted.
