Ed Sheeran blew his apology at his first concert after the Macklemore fiasco.

At Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field, in front of an estimated 50,000 people (the stadium holds 70,000), Sheeran read a lengthy statement from a TELEPROMPTER!

Singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran gives a statement about the Macklemore controversy during his Philadelphia concert.

With the eyes of world upon you looking to address this matter from the heart, you don’t read from a teleprompter.

Of course, social media is blasting him.

He admitted he made mistakes without mentioning what they were nor did he say anything about the musicians and crew who left the tour without a paycheck or respecting their wishes.

However, THIS part reminded me of what politicians say when they want to dance around an issue:

“I am deeply worried about the idea of venues pre-approving content of performers.”

If you’re worried, Ed, then why is this tour still on?

Whether these were Sheeran’s decisions or his management’s, in my eyes, he has made one awful communication move after another.
