When the stock market tanks, that's when you see the best clever quotes from analysts appear. Here is how you play in that league if you want reporters to quote you.
The people who are top of the list for comments expertly use metaphors, idioms, similes, and analogies to describe what is happening -- the big picture, the movement, the sentiment.
Exhibit A, one of the best in the tech sector, is Dan Ives at Wedbush Securities

1) "We will continue to go through a number of 𝗴𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 in the tech trade as the AI Revolution remains in the 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴… this morning is just another one of those moments."
2) "Clearly this [downturn] will cause selling pressure and 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗸𝗻𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲𝘀 for tech stocks in the U.S. this morning..."
3) Ives described South Korean chip stocks SK Hynix, Micron, and Samsung as 𝘁𝗵𝗲 "𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗷𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗜 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆."
BONUS KUDOS to the JPMorgan Trading Desk, which wrote in a note to clients about Asian indexes and US and EU future: "𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗲𝘀."
Think of every opportunity to communicate as stepping into the batter's box in baseball -- you can either stand there and never move the bat off your shoulder, or you swing away to stir attention and make people take note.
